Chetk Jujube Honey, Zagora
When you open this jar of jujube honey, you discover the dry and luminous landscapes of Chetk, in the Zagora region, where bees forage on the flowers of the wild jujube tree to give birth to a rare, deep, and highly sought-after honey.
Origin
This honey is harvested from the flowers of the jujube tree, also known as sidr, in the Chetk, Zagora region, in the heart of the arid territories of southern Morocco.
The jujube tree is a plant perfectly adapted to these dry environments and yields a honey renowned for its quality, rarity, and authentic character.
As with the rest of our range, this honey is harvested with special attention paid to respecting the hives: no antibiotics, no added sugar, and work guided by natural beekeeping practices.
Color & taste
Our jujube honey has an amber color, more or less intense depending on the harvest. Its texture is creamy and fairly liquid, with very little to almost no crystallization, making it a honey that is particularly pleasant to eat by the spoonful.
On the palate, it develops an intense and refined taste, often described as slightly caramelized, with a deep, fruity, and persistent sweetness.
It is a noble, powerful, and balanced honey, which is among the most appreciated for its aromatic richness.
Benefits
Our jujube honey is traditionally valued for:
- Supporting natural defenses and maintaining immunity;
- Soothing digestive issues and supporting intestinal comfort;
- Providing tone and vitality, thanks to its natural richness and its reputation as an energizing honey.
